Privacy policy

How we handle your personal data.

1. Controller

Ronald Heine, PawGarden, Böblinger Str. 363, 70569 Stuttgart, Germany. Phone: +49 711 8901-8701, email: contact@pawgarden.shop. A data protection officer is not required by law.

2. Hosting and server log files

Our shop is operated by an external hosting provider. When you visit the website, data transmitted by your browser is processed automatically: IP address, date and time, page visited, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary for secure and stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for this purpose, unless they are required to investigate a security incident. The hosting provider processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

3. Cookies and consent

We use technically necessary cookies so that the cart, checkout and customer account work (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR, § 25 (2) TDDDG). We only set other cookies with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). We manage your consent with the cookie tool Complianz. You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Details are in our Cookie policy.

4. Orders and customer account

For your order, we process your name, address, email address, phone number (optional), order data and payment information. This is necessary to fulfil the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). If you voluntarily create a customer account, we also store this data there until you delete the account.

5. Contact form, email and phone

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). We delete the data once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and no retention obligations apply.

6. Online withdrawal function

If you declare a withdrawal via our “Withdraw from contract” page, we process the data provided (e.g. order number, name, email address) to handle your withdrawal and send you a confirmation of receipt (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

7. Payment providers

Depending on the payment method chosen, we pass the data required for payment to the respective provider if you select this payment method (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR):

  • PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg
  • WooPayments, provided by WooCommerce Inc. in cooperation with Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland (credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay)

Some of these providers also process data in third countries such as the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

8. Shipping providers

For delivery, we pass your name and delivery address to the commissioned shipping provider (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We only pass on your email address or phone number if you have consented, so that the shipping provider can inform you about the delivery (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

9. Emails about your order

We send you emails about your order, shipping and your withdrawal. We do not send advertising emails.

10. Storage period

We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We keep order and invoice data for up to 10 years due to commercial and tax law obligations (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

11. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Simply write to us at contact@pawgarden.shop.

12. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.

13. SSL encryption

This website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise it by the padlock symbol and “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
